Stunning Water Feature Creates Landscape Focus

Property location: Scarborough, Maine

When Ted Carter Inspired Landscapes (TCIL) was engaged for this project, there were already significant amounts of hardscaping in place on the property, including walkways, terraces, stairs, a fire pit, and water feature. The homeowners built an addition onto the back corner of the house and TCIL was tasked with integrating the new addition with the landscape. The focal point for the landscape became the new water feature which is sited adjacent to the granite step staircase that provides access from the back porch to the back yard. In addition to the water feature, TCIL built a new fire pit, added a dry laid stone retaining wall, and formed garden bed spaces by removing portions of the existing pattern paver hardscape.
