Property location: Kennebunkport, Maine

The current homeowners of this property in Kennebunkport wanted to expand their living space. They decided to do an addition on the house which included connecting the garage to the house and converting the garage to livable space. The landscape design brief for Ted Carter Inspired Landscapes focused on creating more outdoor living spaces and changing the front lawn so that the abandoned driveway was incorporated back into the softscape. The hardscape for the main entrance to the house was installed using bluestone pattern pavers for the flatwork and granite steps. A large bluestone terrace that incorporates both socializing and sun bathing spaces was installed adjacent to the converted garage living space.
