Property location: Cape Elizabeth, Maine

This house is on a promontory in Cape Elizabeth. There are expansive views out to the ocean and the homeowners wanted to have their landscape design highlight the oceanfront nature of the property. Ted Carter Inspired Landscapes (TCIL) designed and installed an outdoor grill station, a gas-fueled fire pit, and the pool area. For the main entrance to the house, the front walkway was installed using Mystic Mountain granite pavers in a herring bone pattern. Mystic Mountain granite features heavily elsewhere, too. It is also used for the terrace near the grill station, the coping around the pool, and for the flatwork of the fire pit surround. The movement of the natural quartz banding throughout the Mystic Mountain granite mirrors the movement of the waves on the ocean which can be seen from almost anywhere on the property.
