Hear Directly from the Team

In 2021, Ted Carter Inspired Landscapes ran a radio recruitment campaign in preparation for the start of the spring season. We have included the two radio spots below so that you can hear directly from the team about the company and what it is like to work here.

The first radio spot features Ted Carter, our founder and president, and Harry Portlock, our Production Manager. The run time is slightly over one minute.

The second radio spot features Ted Carter and Charlie Sichterman, a veteran team member on our Field Production crew. The run time is slightly over one minute.

Our Training Approach

Professional development is important to us! Whether it is gaining knowledge to increase one’s expertise, or learning a skill for the first time, we actively support our crew’s professional development by providing training opportunities. Below is a list of recently delivered and upcoming training that our crew is experiencing:

  • Water features installation (through Aquascape Inc, St. Charles, Illinois)

  • Dry stone walling contractors’ intensive (through The Stone Trust, Dummerston, Vermont)

  • Small engine and machine repair (customized course through a vocational school instructor)

  • Department of Environmental Protection erosion control certification

We are willing to train people interested in learning hardscaping installation and stone masonry. Entry-level applicants are encouraged to apply!

Employees who are interested in obtaining a commercial driver’s license are actively encouraged to do so. We offer support and assistance with studying for the CDL licensing process and will provide the truck and trailer for the road-test portion.
